The main chapters aim to explain how a mechanism works. Essays leave room to ask why a way of thinking is useful, what a technical practice overlooks, or how an idea connects to a broader question.
First essay
Section titled “First essay”A knowledge base should be a place to think introduces the editorial idea behind this site: keep explanations connected, assumptions visible, and revisions easy.
Technical claims still need evidence. Personal judgments should be recognizable as judgments. The more exploratory form is an invitation to make those distinctions explicit.
